It is ironic that an online service designed to help keep users’ passwords secure has been made susceptible to a hacker. LastPass is the service, and one of its users had their personal information stolen by a hacker, as per a blog post the company published on Monday. No password details were taken though. There was no indication that LastPass user accounts were opened. What this latest online attack perhaps does reveal though is that anything online is susceptible to being attacked.

His company SpaceX, which builds rockets, announced on Monday that they intend to build a test track in Los Angeles.
YouTube will soon expand into the video game arena. The announcement of its new platform and app, called YouTube Gaming, came Friday, just before the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The platform is scheduled to go live later this summer; it will launch first in the US and UK. The format will feature individual pages for over 25,000 video games that include the legendary Zelda.
Alibaba, China’s e-commerce heavyweight is changing its US e-commerce strategy. It is folding 11 Main and other companies into OpenSky. The news came this week of the latest actions taken by Alibaba. It has already made it clear that expanding its presence in the US is a priority. It is doing so both by expanding its marketplace footprint and facilitating between Western businesses and customers in China.
Now, the news comes that Alibaba has entered into a deal with OpenSky, an online shopping platform whose headquarters are in New York. The deal is such that 11 Main’s set-up will fold into OpenSky.
The release of Windows 10 is around the corner. It may come sooner than originally expected although it will be pricey if you don’t get a free upgrade. The originally predicted date for Windows 10 release was rumored to be July 29. But as per a tweet on July 23 from @GabeAul it appears that the review process is already underway, and a decision will soon likely be made.
